Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 28, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Cavlogix Corporation, doing business as Societies Insurance (in California, doing business as Cavlogix Insurance Agency) (“Societies Insurance,” “we,” “us”), collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit societiesinsurance.com, request a quote, complete an application, or otherwise work with us. Societies Insurance is a licensed insurance agency. We help you find coverage from insurance companies; we are not the insurance company that issues your policy.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact details such as your name, email address, phone numbers, mailing address, and the location you want insured, including city, county and state.
  • Quote request and application information, which depends on the coverage you ask about and may include:
    • for personal coverage: dates of birth, household members, driver details and driving history, driver’s license information, vehicle and VIN details, property details, prior insurance and claims history;
    • for life, health, Medicare and similar coverage: health-related information the insurance company needs to underwrite or enroll you;
    • for business coverage: business name and structure, owners and contact persons, Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN), years in business, revenue, payroll and employee counts, operations, locations and square footage, prior insurance, claims history, loss runs, and an estimated credit score range where an application asks for it;
    • a Taxpayer Identification Number (such as a Social Security Number or ITIN) only where a particular application requires it.
  • Documents you upload, such as loss runs, prior policies or declarations pages.
  • Electronic signature records. When you sign an application online, we record your typed signature, the date and time, and the IP address it came from, so the signature can be verified.
  • Your messages to us by form, email or phone, and newsletter sign-up details if you choose to subscribe.

Information collected automatically

When you use our website, we and our service providers automatically receive standard technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and the site that referred you. We use cookies and similar technologies for this, as described in section 6.

Information from others

To quote or place coverage, and only as permitted by law and the authorizations in your application, insurance companies and their representatives may obtain information about you from other sources, such as motor vehicle records, claims history databases, credit-based insurance information, inspection reports, and your prior insurers. We may also receive information from an insurance company about your quote, policy, billing or claims.

2. How we use information

  • to respond to your questions and prepare quotes;
  • to complete and submit applications to insurance companies and help place, service and renew your coverage;
  • to help with policy changes, certificates of insurance and claims;
  • to save an unfinished online application so you can return to it (see section 5);
  • to send you service messages, and our newsletter if you asked for it;
  • to operate, secure and improve our website, including preventing spam and fraud;
  • to meet legal, regulatory, licensing and record-keeping obligations.

3. How we share information

We share personal information only as needed for the purposes above:

  • Insurance companies and their representatives, including underwriters, managing general agents and wholesale brokers, so they can quote, underwrite, issue and service your coverage.
  • Service providers that work on our behalf under confidentiality obligations, such as website and email hosting, form and data storage, payment processing and website analytics providers.
  • As required or permitted by law, for example to respond to a lawful request from a regulator, court or law-enforcement agency, to prevent fraud, or to protect our rights.
  • In a business transfer, such as a sale or merger of our agency, subject to this Policy.
  • With your consent or at your direction.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with other companies for their own marketing. We do not disclose nonpublic personal information about our customers or former customers to non-affiliated third parties except as permitted by law.

4. How we protect information

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, restricted access for staff who need the information to serve you, and password-protected systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information, such as a full Social Security Number, by ordinary email.

5. How long we keep information

An unfinished online application is saved for up to 30 days so you can complete it, and is then removed. Submitted quote requests, applications, signatures and related records are kept for as long as needed to serve you and as required by insurance record-keeping laws and regulations, and are then securely deleted.

6. Cookies and analytics

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use cookies that are necessary for the website to work, such as remembering a saved application, and may use analytics services such as Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. Analytics providers collect information such as pages viewed and approximate location and process it under their own privacy policies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features may then not work. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Our website does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals.

7. Email and newsletter

We add you to our newsletter only if you choose to subscribe. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. Even if you unsubscribe, we may still send messages about your quotes, applications or policies.

8. Your choices and rights

You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct information that is inaccurate, or to delete information we are not required to keep. Insurance privacy laws in many states also give you the right to see and correct recorded personal information about you that was collected in connection with an insurance transaction. Residents of California and certain other states may have additional rights under their state’s privacy laws, where those laws apply to us.

To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and you may use an authorized agent where the law allows. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. Some information held by insurance companies is controlled by them; we will tell you if your request should go to an insurer.

9. Children’s privacy

Our website is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13 except as provided by a parent or guardian as part of an insurance application, for example to list a household member.

10. Links to other websites

Our website links to other sites, such as insurance companies and social media. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last changed. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
