Loss Runs
A loss run is a report from your insurance company that lists every claim filed under your policy over a set period, usually the last three to five years. It shows the date of each loss, what happened, how much was paid and whether the claim is still open.
Underwriters ask for loss runs whenever you shop for new coverage, renew a policy or change insurance companies, because your claim history is one of the biggest factors in how your risk is priced. Societies Insurance can request current loss runs from your insurance companies for you. Call 800-616-3490 or email info@societiesinsurance.com.

What a loss run shows
Each claim on the policy: the date of loss, a short description, amounts paid and reserved, and whether the claim is open or closed. A report with no claims shows that too.
When you need one
When you apply for new coverage, renew a policy, move to a new insurance company or bid on a contract that asks for proof of your safety record. Most underwriters want three to five years.
How to request yours
Call 800-616-3490 or email info@societiesinsurance.com with your name or business name, your policy numbers and the years you need. We will request the reports from each insurance company and send them to you.
